    Food for Thought

Check out: Online by Brad Paisley...great song and on topic with the digital world!

An interesting aspect of my internship experience has been weekly meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Every Tuesday we are given a short presentation over breakfast. These presentations are conducted by project managers on different client accounts throughout the agency. They share the different campaigns and pitches that they are presenting to their clients. This gives everyone in the company exposure to not only the project management side of the business, but also the creative aspect of the company. In addition to breakfast club on Tuesdays, lunch is provided every Thursday for the interns. In this lunch meeting, an employee from each of the different fields within the company comes and talks to us about his or her role at Avenue A | Razorfish. Thus far, I have learned about emerging media, the client side of digital media and marketing, and corporate PR. This week we are going to be learning about the user experience team. These have created a very well rounded experience. I feel like I have a very good grasp on all the different parts that make up a digital agency. It is interesting to see how all the different areas fit together and work with each other. And as an added bonus we get free food!

Having weekly presentations to the rest of the firm about what is going on company wide is a great tool for all. I imagine that you are excited to hear about what is being created and feel like you are a part of the team no matter what division you are in. Kudos to a company that unites and includes everyone.

Wow! That is a HUGE benefit! So not only are you learning your own job function, you are truly gaining an understanding of all of the facets of the business. I think that is huge in regards to your future. I hope it is really helping you to show you what you are interested in, and what you might not be so interested in! (And free food is always a bonus!)

Also, I love your new color scheme!

What a tremendous opportunity to really learn from your company. They clearly understand how to create an environment for young people, like yourself striving for excellence in personal development.

PS Kudos to the Brad Paisley plug. He is a hilariously talented artist when it comes to word play and melodies! When it comes to concerts, no country artist out today is better than Brad.

Your real lucky with the weekly meetings, I'm interning in the Philly office for AA-R and as interns we had one large meeting that brought in all departments to tell about what they do. But then again we do have random meetings where certain depts. talk about projects there working on.
I like your blog its a cool idea.

That is so great that they give that experience to interns. You can see and hear about all the different aspects of the business to help you figure out where your interests lie in this field. Sounds like the company truely has an interest in helping interns gain experience.
